Leopard captured in Hajin after injuring a youth

The Wild Life Department captured a leopard after it injured a youth in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
Local sources said that a leopard emerged in Mir Mohalla locality of Hajin and left a youth Umar Zahoor Sofi injured. After first aid at a local hospital, the injured was shifted to JVC Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Sources added that after the attack, locals chased away the leopard which entered into a building. Subsequently, a team from Wild Life Department rushed to the spot and captured the wild beast. [KNT]
