Union Minister Arjun Munda to interact with special invitees of Republic Day celebrations from Farmers’ Producers Organisation in New Delhi

Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Arjun Munda will interact with the special invitees of the Republic Day celebrations from the Farmers’ Producers Organisation (FPO) in New Delhi today.

The Government launched the Central Sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of ten thousand Farmer Producer Organisations in the year 2020 with a total budgetary outlay of six thousand 865 crore rupees.

FPO will enable farmers to enhance their bargaining power, leverage economies of scale, reduce the cost of production and enhance farmers’ incomes through aggregation of their agricultural produce. Under the scheme, FPOs are provided financial assistance up to 18 lakh rupees per FPO for three years.
