EAM Dr S Jaishankar says India’s G20 Presidency was notable period in country’s diplomatic history
External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said India’s G20 Presidency was a notable period in the country’s diplomatic history and its many achievements have been widely appreciated.
Addressing the book launch of the book: ‘India and the Future of the G20 in Delhi last evening, Dr Jaishankar said India’s Presidency stood up for the Global South, bridging multiple contradictions.
He said there is much that India should be proud of, including getting multilateralism back on track and fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantee to Africa. He emphasised that initiatives like the SDG Action Plan, Green Development Pact, LiFE, the focus on millets, reform of Multilateral Development Banks, support for Digital Public Infrastructure, and women-led development will all have lasting impacts.
