IMD forecasts fresh active Western Disturbance likely to affect northwest India

India Meteorological Department has forecast a fresh active Western Disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from tomorrow. It said fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall accompanied with thunderstorms, lightning, and hail is likely over over Western Himalayan Region from Sunday onwards. IMD further added dense fog conditions are very likely to prevail in morning hours in isolated pockets of Bihar and Odisha tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in Delhi, moderate fog is likely to prevail today. Yesterday’s minimum temperature hovered around 26 degree celcius while the minimum temperature was recorded around 8.8 degree celcius, two degrees below normal. According to Central Pollution Control Board, the city’s Air Quality Index was recorded 273 at 7 A.M. this morning. An Air Quality Index between 201 and 300 is considered poor, 301 to 400 very poor, and 401 to 500 severe.
