AMEAK’s Productive Engagement with District and Divisional Administrations in Kashmir

Following their meeting with the Honorable Lt Governor of J&K UT, the All Minority Employees Association of Kashmir (AMEAK), led by President Sanjay Koul, embarked on a three-day visit to Center and North Kashmir. During this visit, the AMEAK team had the esteemed privilege of meeting with key district and divisional administration officials, fostering constructive dialogue on pressing issues faced by minority employees.

The meetings included discussions with district administration heads, including Mr. Bilal Bhat Sahab (DC Srinagar), Mr. Akshay Labroo Ji (DC Budgam), Mr. Shakeel Ur Rahman Sahab (DC Bandipura), Mr. Shyambir Ji (DC Ganderbal), Mr. Minga Shipra Ji (DC Baramula), and Ms. Ayushi Sudan Ji (DC Kupwara). Additionally, interactions were held with district police administration heads, including Mr. Amod Nagpure Ji (SSP Baramula) and Mr. Shobit Saxsena Ji (SSP Kupwara).

During their visit to Baramula, the team had the opportunity to engage with divisional administrative and police administration heads, namely Mr. Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Ji (Div Com Kashmir), Mr. Vidhi Kumar Birdi Ji (IGP Kashmir), Mr. Rajiv Omprakash Pande Ji (DIG Center), and Mr. Vijay Gupta Ji (DIG North).

Discussions primarily focused on addressing various challenges encountered by minority employees in Center and North Kashmir, notably emphasizing the security scenario and progress on under-construction accommodations. The district administrations assured proactive security measures by following the directed SOPs with leniency in duty timings till upcoming elections and pledged to expedite the handover of designated quarters to the Relief Organization for subsequent allotments, scheduled for March. Additionally, assurances were made regarding prioritized transfers as necessary.

AMEAK’s engagement extended to meeting with numerous minority employees in each district, receiving an overwhelming response. The team reiterates its commitment to resolving genuine concerns promptly and pledges to articulate these demands precisely to the administration.

The AMEAK team included Mr. Avtar Bhat, Mr. Amit Raina, Mr. Sunil Bhat, Mr. Pradeep Kisroo, Mr. Kuldeep Ji, Mr. Vinod Tickoo, Mr. Anil Thusoo, Mr. Arun Raina, Mr. Rohit Raina, and respective district committee members.
