Budget session of Uttarakhand Assembly to begin today
The budget session of the Uttarakhand Assembly is scheduled to commence in Dehradun today. The session will start with the Governor’s address and the presentation of the state’s annual budget for the financial year 2024 -25 is anticipated to be tabled tomorrow.
It is expected that the government will table a budget of approximately 90 thousand crore rupees during the session.
Additionally, the state government plans to introduce the ‘Uttarakhand Public and Private Property Damage Recovery Bill’, which aims to enable the recovery of damages caused by miscreants who vandalize government and private property under the guise of protests.
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister and State Finance Minister Mr. Premchand Aggarwal, affirmed that the government aims to introduce an inclusive budget, with particular emphasis on addressing the needs of the underprivileged, youth, farmers, and women.
