IMD predicts moderate rainfall and snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Western Himalayan region

India Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rainfall and snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh and parts of the Western Himalayan region for today. It said, isolated to scattered light rainfall and snowfall is very likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Isolated light rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh during the subsequent 5 days.

The weather department further predicted that a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region from the night of March 10. Under its influence, rainfall is likely over the parts of North India from March 10 to March 12.

Meanwhile, the National Capital will continue to witness cold weather for the coming few days. Today, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 25 and 9 degrees Celsius. The air quality in Delhi continues to remain in the moderate category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index stood at 138 as of 6 AM today.
