Woman dies after allegedly being ‘assaulted’ by son

A woman died after being allegedly assaulted by her son in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The incident occurred late Sunday night at Hadipora village of Rafiabad falling under the jurisdiction of Dangiwacha police station. Police arrested the accused identified as Amir Wani alias Gajini who is a driver by profession.

 Local reports suggested that ‘Gajni’ attacked her mother with a cutlet after a squabble, however, the autopsy report is awaited. [KNT]
