British Parliament Dissolved For General Election On July 4

The British Parliament was dissolved at midnight last night, marking the start of the five-week campaign period leading up to the general election on July 4. As the clock struck one minute past midnight, all 650 seats of Members of Parliament (MPs) became vacant, officially commencing the electoral process.
