PM Modi to conduct Aerial Survey of landslide-hit Wayanad & meet survivors

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Kannur airport this morning, en route to Wayanad. He was received at the airport by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Minister of State for Tourism, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi among others. Mr. Modi will leave for Wayanad by helicopter, where he will conduct an aerial survey of the landslide-hit areas.

 

 

The Prime Minister is likely to visit the Bailey Bridge built by the Army, a relief camp and a local hospital. He will interact with the survivors of the disaster. He will also chair a review meeting, where a detailed briefing will be made about the disaster and the ongoing search operations. He will return to Kannur airport by evening, before departing for New Delhi.
