Sensex and Nifty recovered from their early losses

Benchmark Indian equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, recovered from their early losses in today’s intra-day trade and were trading in positive territory a short while ago.

The BSE Sensex surged 378 points, or 0.47 percent, reaching 80,084 points, while the NSE Nifty climbed 91 points, or 0.37 percent, to 24,459, when the reports last came in.

Earlier in the day, the market opened lower, with the Sensex down by 376 points at 79,330 and the Nifty down by 47 points at 24,320.
