Soldier injured in Jammu Army base attack
In an audacious attack, militants targeted the Sunjawan military camp in Jammu on Monday morning, leaving one army jawan injured.
The attack involved militants firing from a distance, prompting a swift response from the army. The base has been sealed off, and a search operation is currently underway to neutralize attackers.
This is not the first time the Sunjawan camp has been targeted by militants. In February 2018, a similar attack by Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) militants resulted in the deaths of six soldiers, a civilian, and three militants. The camp is the largest army base in Jammu.
The recent attack comes on the heels of several infiltration attempts foiled by Army in Jammu and Kashmir. [KNT]
