Finance Ministry directs insurance companies to provide support to flood-affected Andhra Pradesh, Telangana

In view of the heavy rains and floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Union Finance Ministry has directed public sector insurance companies to provide full support to people affected by the floods.

In a social media post, the Ministry said that the insurance companies have been instructed to ensure swift claim settlements by organizing special camps and easing claim processes.

The insurance companies have also been instructed to widely advertise the names and contact numbers of nodal officers whom the policyholders can contact. The Ministry said the Central Government is committed to supporting those affected by this calamity and ensuring they receive the necessary assistance at the earliest.
