5 drown during Ganesh immersion in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, five people drowned during the Ganesh immersion yesterday. In Chitod town, Dhule district, three children tragically lost their lives during the immersion procession after being run over by a tractor.

Six others were injured in the incident and are currently undergoing treatment. In Pathardi city, Nashik district, two young men drowned during the immersion, while another youth is missing near Chunchale village, with search efforts ongoing.

In Amravati, three individuals were swept away in the Poorna River. The body of one of them was recovered this morning, and rescue operations for the others are still underway.
