First Case of Clade 1B M-Pox Variant Detected in Kerala

The first case of the Clade 1B variant of M-pox has been reported in the country. Sources in the health ministry said that the M-pox case of this variant was detected in a youth who landed from UAE in Kerala last week. The ministry said that the patient’s condition is stable and under observation.

 

 

Monkeypox infections are usually self-limiting, lasting between 2 to 4 weeks, and patients generally recover with supportive management.
