Kidambi Srikanth, Treesa Jolly, and Gayatri Gopichand to Lead Indian Challenge
In the Macau Open Badminton, Kidambi Srikanth and the women’s doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will lead the Indian challenge in the round of eight, today.
In Men’s singles quaterfinal, sixth-seeded Kidambi Srikanth will clash against Hong Kong’s Angus Ng Ka Long. The match will be played at 10:30 AM IST. Srikanth advanced to the last 8 rounds after defeating his compatriot Ayush Shetty 21-13, 21-18 in a pre-quarterfinal match, yesterday.
Moreover, in the Women’s doubles quaterfinal, the pair of Gayatri and Treesa will face Taiwan’s duo of Hsu Yin-Hui and Wu Luo Yu. The match is scheduled to begin at 10:50 AM IST. Earlier, the Indian pair won against the Taiwanese duo of Lin Chih-Chun and Teng Chun-Hsun 22-20, 21-11 in the Round of 16.
