India defeat Pakistan by 6 wickets

In the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup, Team India defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in Dubai, yesterday. Chasing a victory target of 106 runs, they achieved it with 13 balls to spare. India made 108 for 4 in 18.5 overs.

Indian Captain Harmanpreet Kaur retired hurt after scoring 29 runs off 24 balls, while Shafali Verma scored 32 off 35 balls and Jemimah Rodrigues scored 23 off 28 balls.
For India, Arundhati Reddy claimed three wickets to help India restrict Pakistan to 105/8. Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and choose to batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 105 for 8 in 20 overs.
India has two games left to play in the group stage and with only the top two games from the group making it to keeping their semi-final hopes alive on. India will seek to extend its winning streak against Sri Lanka on October 9 followed by Australia on October 13.
Today, England will face South Africa in a Group B match in Sharjah. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST.
