Pyare Lal Sharma Joins National Conference, Pledges Loyalty to Omar Abdullah

Pyare Lal Sharma, the independent candidate who won the Inderwal assembly segment in Kishtwar district, has joined the National Conference (NC). Sharma extended his support to the party in the presence of its patron, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, would-be chief minister Omar Abdullah, and party general secretary Salman Ali Sagar.

Sharma, who defeated former Road and Building minister GM Saroori by a narrow margin, reiterated his commitment to the party, stating that he will dedicate his life to the NC and support Omar Abdullah as a loyal soldier. Notably, Sharma contested the election as an independent candidate after being denied a ticket by the NC.

His joining was welcomed by the NC leadership, with Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah expressing confidence in Sharma’s ability to strengthen the party’s base in the Kishtwar district. [KNT]
