Maharashtra, Jharkhand assembly elections next month, also By-elections for 48 assembly and 2 LS seats; counting of votes on 23rd Nov

The Election Commission of India today announced the schedule for Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly polls. 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra will go to polls in a single phase on 20th of November.

Polling for 81 assembly seats of Jharkhand will be held in two phases on 13th & 20th November.  By elections for 48 assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha seats across 15 States will also be held on 13th and 20th of November. The counting of votes will take place on 23rd November.
