IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall For Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, And Surrounding Regions

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, South Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra today.

According to the IMD, rough to very rough sea conditions are likely to prevail over the southwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal and along and off the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and South Andhra Pradesh coasts till this noon and improve gradually thereafter. The weather agency has advised fishermen not to venture into the South-west and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal today. Fishermen out at sea are also advised to return to coasts.
