Cop injured in ‘accidental’ grenade blast in North Kashmir

A cop sustained injuries when a grenade exploded inside the Malkhana Court Complex in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district today.

 Official sources said that the grenade went off accidentally, and the injured policeman, who was on duty, has been rushed to the hospital for treatment. The condition of the cop is reported as stable.

 Pertinently, at court’s Malkhana— weapons and all evidence are stored.

 The police have assured that the situation is under control and have urged citizens to remain calm and disregard any rumors. [KNT]
