Provide relief to purkhoo fire victims on pattern Mulwarwan village : GLR to Adm

GLR to Adm  Expressing pain and shock over the fire incident in Purkhoo migrant camp, Girdhari Lal Raina former Member of Legislative Council of J&K and spokesperson of BJP JK-UT has appealed the UT administration to provide quick relief to these unfortunate victims who have lost everything they possessed. Such devastation happening on the eve of Deepawali is further distressing and agonising, he added.

These victims of terrorism and now this calamity were already living in subhuman conditions trying to rebuild their shattered lives. Winter has already set in and they have nowhere to go for help and assistance, GLR asserted. The UT administration must come forward to their rescue, he appealed. Former MLC drew the attention of Chief Minister Sh.Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Sh. Surinder Choudary and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Sh. Satish Sharma,social welfare Minister Ms Sakina Itoo and other concerned authorities towards this unfortunate incident and appealed for prompt action in providing relief and assistance to the affected families.

The Chief Minister has shown his concern in a similar unfortunate incident at Mulwarwan in Kishtwar recently by not only visiting the affected people but also providing much needed help to them. It is our earnest hope that he will instruct administration to help Purkhoo victims also. GL Raina also appealed to social organisations to come forward to help victim families.
