Union Minister Manohar Lal launches ‘Swachh Diwali Shubh Diwali’ campaign

Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal today launched the Swachh Diwali Shubh Diwali campaign. This campaign aims to clean public places during the Diwali festival and will continue until 3rd November.

On the occasion, the minister said that people should also focus on their streets, and neighbourhoods during their homes and courtyard’s cleanliness in festival season. Emphasizing the collective effort of Swachhata Hi Seva, he said that people must sustain this momentum until all Cleanliness Target Units are thoroughly cleaned and achieve the goal of Garbage Free Cities. Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Tokhan Sahu was also present at the event.
