Encounter Breaks Out In Khanyar Area Of Srinagar City

In the Kashmir Valley, an encounter broke out in Khanyar area of Srinagar city this morning.

According to official sources, the joint team of security forces, based on the intelligence input, about the presence of terrorists in the area, laid a Cordon and Search Operation CASO to hunt down the terrorists.

The CASO, however, resulted in the exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists. Meanwhile, the operation in the area was continuing till the reports last came in. Details are awaited.
