Militant Associate Apprehended During Search Operation

 KNT: Police Tuesday said that during a cordon and search operation, the joint forces apprehended a militant associate and recovered a pistol from his possession.

Police identified the arrested individual as Ashiq Hussain Wani.

Police said that joint forces, including soldiers from 22 Rashtriya Rifles, 92 Batallion CRPF, and local police, jointly launched a search operation at Bongam Chogul villages, which are under the jurisdiction of Handwara Police Station.

The successful operation resulted in the recovery of a pistol, one magazine, and seven live rounds from Wani’s possession. [KNT]
