KNT: BJP Wednesday staged a protest in Jammu against the resolution passed by the J&K Assembly, seeking restoration of the state’s special status. The resolution, moved by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, aims to reinstate the special status revoked on August 5, 2019.
Led by BJP J&K unit President Sat Paul Sharma, party workers burned effigies of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, condemning the National Conference-led government. Sharma criticized Choudhary, labeling him “Jammu’s Jaichand” for allegedly betraying the Jammu’s interests.
