DSEK submits proposal for phased winter vacations

Srinagar,The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has proposed a phased winter vacation schedule for Kashmir schools and winter zone schools in Jammu, citing the prevailing harsh weather conditions in the Kashmir Valley.
As per the proposal submitted by the DSEK, the proposed winter break for classes up to 2nd primary will commence on December 9, 2024, and conclude on February 24, 2025.
Also, the vacation for classes from 3rd primary to class 12th has been proposed from December 16 of 2024 to February 24 of 2025.
“The situation has necessitated to declare the winter vacation. Hence the proposal is submitted for your kind perusal and further necessary action and orders,” reads a proposal submitted to the Principal Secretary School Education Department. [KNT]
