Benchmark domestic equity indices end marginally lower

Benchmark domestic equity indices today ended marginally lower. The 30-share index at the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, slipped 67 points, or 0.09 percent, to close at 78,473. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange, Nifty-50, fell slightly by 26 points, or 0.11 percent, to end at 23,728.

In the global crude market, Brent Crude was trading up by 0.61 percent at 73 dollars and seven cents per barrel, and WTI Crude also rose almost 0.6 percent to trade at 69 dollars and 65 cents per barrel when reports last came in. In the Indian bullion market, the 24-karat gold was trading up at 76,390 rupees for 10 grams, while silver 999 fine was trading down at 89,070 per kilogram when reports last came in.
