Sunil Sharma Criticizes Government’s Handling of Mysterious Deaths in Rajouri

Rajouri: BJP MLA from Padder Nagseni and Leader of Opposition in the J&K Assembly, Sunil Sharma, has strongly condemned the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s handling of the mysterious deaths in Badhaal village, Rajouri.

Since December 7, 16 individuals from three families have died in separate incidents, sparking fear in the region.

Sharma criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his alleged indifference, accusing him of enjoying leisure activities like skiing while locals were suffering. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s response, stating that ministers visited the region only to hold a meeting in Kotranka, which he deemed a mere “eye-wash.”

The BJP leader pointed out that the CM’s meeting, held on Friday, came only after BJP leaders raised the issue and visited the area. Sharma stressed that the NC-led government should have taken this serious issue seriously, especially given the loss of innocent lives.

Offering condolences to the victim families, Sharma assured that the BJP has raised the matter with relevant authorities, including the Government of India, for urgent redressal. [KNT]
