Kulgam Terror Attack: Carrying Candles, Kashmirs Out On Streets, Demand End To Bloodshed

Srinagar,The streets of Kashmir on Wednesday evening witnessed a wave of solidarity and grief as people in large numbers took to the streets, holding candlelight vigils to protest the recent killing of ex-soldier Manzoor Ahmad Wagay in Kulgam. The protesters, carrying placards and candles demanded an immediate end to the cycle of violence that has claimed innocent lives.
According to the Associated News Bureau, the demonstrations were held in various parts of Kashmir where people from different walks of life gathered to express their anguish over the killings. The mourners, including family members of the deceased, civil society members, and political activists, urged authorities to take decisive action to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Speaking at one of the vigils, a protester said, “We have seen enough bloodshed. Every life is precious, and violence cannot be a solution. The government must ensure the safety of all citizens, regardless of their past affiliations.“
The killing has triggered widespread concern, with political leaders calling for swift investigations and justice. Several parties have condemned the attack, urging security agencies to maintain peace and stability in the region. (ANB)
