Education Minister Promises Action After Several Students Miss Exams

Srinagar, Several students were unable to sit for their 10th class exams after missing their admit cards, causing a disruption in their academic progress. The issue has raised concerns among both students and parents, leading to calls for accountability.
In response to the issue, Minister for Education, Sakina Itoo, stated that an inquiry has been initiated to investigate the cause of the negligence. She assured the public that action would follow once the responsible parties are identified. “We will find out who is at fault. If the mistake is from the school level or any other level, those responsible will face the music,” she said, emphasizing that the incident was a serious concern.
The Education Minister expressed her disappointment over the situation, particularly given the hard work students put in throughout the year. “It is unfortunate that students who burn the midnight oil for the whole year are being denied admit cards and disallowed to sit in the examination. Those responsible for this will face action,” she added.
Sakina Itoo assured that 70-80% of textbooks are currently available for students, and she promised that 100% availability would be achieved by the time schools re-open. [KNT]
