Heavy snowfall blocks Tsomgo-Nathula route

In Sikkim, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast of dense fog in isolated pockets across the state today, along with heavy snowfall in the higher altitudes.

As a result, the route from Tsomgo Lake to Nathula Pass and New Baba Mandir has been temporarily blocked due to snow accumulation, causing significant disruptions for both tourists and travelers.

Meanwhile, access to the road from Third Mile to Tsomgo Lake remains open. Authorities have advised travelers to exercise caution and stay updated on weather conditions before embarking on their journeys, as snowfall is expected to continue in the coming days.
