IMD forecasts heatwave in Odisha; thunderstorms likely in Northeast, Southern states

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heat wave conditions at isolated places over north interior Odisha today.

Places over coastal Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, and North Interior Karnataka can experience hot and humid weather today. Weather conditions in these areas are likely to remain the same during the next 2-3 days.

The weather department further predicted thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and lightning over northeastern states today. Parts of Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, and South Interior Karnataka can also experience thunderstorms and lightning.
