President Murmu inaugurates two-day National Conference on Environment- 2025

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated a National Conference on Environment -2025 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Saturday. The two-day event has been organised by National Green Tribunal. This conference marks a vital step towards fostering collaboration, raising awareness, and advancing the collective mission of environmental protection and sustainability. Addressing the gathering, the President emphasized for collective efforts for environmental conservation.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav said that India is focusing on ramping up innovation in reducing carbon footprint. He said, India is the third largest energy producing country in the world and has a set a target of 500 Giga Watt renewable energy production by 2030.
The meet will have four key technical sessions that will address pressing challenges faced by the environment, including climate change, pollution control, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. These sessions aim to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration across sectors to promote environmental sustainability in India and globally.
