Bihar: 8 dead, several injured due to lightning

In Bihar, at least eight people died and several were injured due to lightning in the Madhubani and Begusarai districts today.

Official sources said three casualties occurred in Jhanjharpur in the Madhubani district when lightning struck them. Three people succumbed to death in separate incidents during the rains in the Balia and Sahebpur Kamal areas in the Begusarai district.

The Met. Department has issued an alert for inclement weather with rain, thunderstorms and lightning activities inthe  Eastern and Northern parts of the state in the next 24 hours. Various parts, including the Darbhanga, Sheohar, Sitamarhi and Khagaria districts, received rainfall this morning
