Minor Girl from UP Dies in Hit-and-Run Incident at Tourist Resort Pahalgam
Anantnag, KNT: An incident occurred in South Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Monday, where a 4-year-old tourist girl from Uttar Pradesh lost her life after being struck by an unidentified vehicle near the popular selfie point.
Officials said the minor girl, identified as Halma Hasina, daughter of Hashim Quraishi, a resident of Mulganj, Kanpur, was critically injured after being hit by a speeding vehicle that fled the scene.
She was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital in Pahalgam for treatment. However, due to the severity of her injuries, she was referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation to trace the vehicle and identify the driver involved in the hit-and-run. [KNT]
