Release relief without delay: Panun Kashmir, Y4PK

JAMMU, Apr 14:  Panun Kashmir and Youth 4 Panun Kashmir express serious concern over the continued delay in the disbursement of monthly relief and ration to displaced Kashmiri Pandit families residing in Jammu. At a time when many of these families are already struggling with day-to-day survival, this delay is causing undue distress and emotional strain.

Dr. Agnishekhar, Convenor of Panun Kashmir, stated,
“It is deeply unfortunate that even after decades in exile, our community is being subjected to such indifference. This relief is not a privilege — it is a basic necessity for families who lost everything in 1990. We urge the authorities to act with empathy and urgency. Bureaucratic delays must not become instruments of suffering.”
Digamber Raina, General Secretary of Youth 4 Panun Kashmir, added,

“On one hand, there is public discourse around the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits. On the other hand, even our basic sustenance — a modest monthly relief — is being withheld. We appeal to the government to immediately release the pending relief. Let not symbolic gestures replace real action.”
Both Panun Kashmir and Youth 4 Panun Kashmir believe that relief and ration must not be politicised or delayed, especially when thousands of families depend on them for survival. We call upon the government to take immediate corrective action and ensure timely disbursement going forward.
