Govt temporary cancelled employee Leave due to current situation, GAD

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has temporarily suspended the approval of employee leave across all departments, citing the prevailing circumstances in the Union Territory. According to News Service, Associated News Bureau, ANB, a memorandum issued Tuesday by the General Administration Department (GAD) directs Administrative Secretaries and Department Heads to withhold leave approvals, except in extraordinary cases.

Signed by Rohit Sharma, JKAS, Additional Secretary to the Government, the order has been circulated among key officials including the Director General of Police, the Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, and the Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir.

While the directive does not clarify the exact nature of the situation, it indicates a state of increased administrative vigilance. The order extends to all public sector undertakings, advisory boards, and key recruitment and examination bodies such as the PSC, SSB, and BOPEE, who are expected to comply strictly. ANB
