PM Modi plants Sindoor sapling on World Environment Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a Sindoor sapling at his residence in New Delhi on the occasion of World Environment Day today.

The plant was gifted to him by the brave mothers and sisters of Kutch, Gujarat, who had displayed extraordinary courage and patriotism during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Recalling his recent visit to Gujarat, Mr. Modi said, the gift of the Sindoor plant will remain a strong symbol of the bravery and inspiration of women’s power in the country.
