Schools in Jammu to remain closed on Aug 26 due to bad weather
Jammu, KNT : The Government on Monday announced that all government and private schools in Jammu Division will remain closed on August 26 due to prevailing inclement weather conditions.
According to an order issued by the Directorate of School Education Jammu, it has been directed that both government and private schools shall continue to remain shut on Tuesday in the interest of the safety of students.
The schools were already closed on Monday following heavy rains and adverse weather across the region. Officials said the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to safeguard the lives of children and to avoid any inconvenience to students and parents.
Weather authorities have predicted continued rainfall in parts of Jammu Division, prompting the administration to extend the closure of schools. [KNT]
