Defunct High-Mast Light at Sonamarg Bypass Restored
Ganderbal, KNT: A high-mast light installed at the Sonamarg bypass road, which had remained non-functional for several days, was restored to working condition, following a report highlighting the issue.
Two days earlier, KNT had reported that the high-mast light, installed at a cost of several lakhs of rupees, had stopped functioning, causing inconvenience to travellers and drivers using the busy bypass road during night hours.
Taking prompt action on the report, Chief Executive Officer of the Sonamarg Development Authority, Muntasha Rasheed, directed the concerned staff to carry out immediate repairs to ensure smooth movement of vehicles after dark. Officials confirmed that the light was fixed and made operational today.
Locals, including drivers and commuters, expressed gratitude to the Sonamarg Development Authority for responding swiftly and resolving the issue. [KNT]
