Snow Clearance Delay Causes Hardship in Kohinoor Colony, Handwara
Handwara, KNT: Residents of Kohinoor Colony in Handwara have complained that snow clearance has not been carried out on the vital link road connecting the Rest House to their locality, causing serious inconvenience to the public.
Locals told Kashmir News Trust that heavy snowfall has left the internal link road completely covered, restricting movement and making daily life difficult, particularly for elderly residents, patients and school-going children.
“We are facing immense hardship as the snow has accumulated on the Rest House–Kohinoor Colony link road. Despite repeated snowfall, the authorities have not cleared the inner road, leaving us virtually cut off,” residents said.
The affected inhabitants have appealed to the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to clear the snow from the road and restore normal movement, stating that timely intervention would help them overcome the ongoing difficulties. [KNT]
