Pulwama police crack theft case, recover stolen cable
Pulwama, KNT: Pulwama Police have solved a theft case by recovering stolen property and arresting the accused, officials said on Monday.
According to police, the case was registered under FIR No. 18/26 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. During the course of investigation, police recovered a cable reported to have been stolen by unidentified offenders.
Officials said the vehicles allegedly used in the commission of the crime, a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK03H-3944 and a Chota Hathi bearing registration number JK13H-7042, were also seized during the operation.
The accused has been identified as Muzafar Ahmad Padroo, son of Abdul Rashid Padroo and an inhabitant of Bandepora. He has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to ascertain additional facts and possible involvement of other individuals.
Police said action against offences involving public property will continue in accordance with law. [KNT]
