Two-wheeler collides with oil tanker near showroom, Biker dies
Srinagar, KNT: A motorcyclist lost his life in a road accident near the Toyota showroom in the Parimpora area of Srinagar on Monday after his two-wheeler collided with an oil tanker, officials said.
Officials said the collision involved an oil tanker bearing registration number JK02AG-9319 and a motorcycle, resulting in serious injuries to the rider. He was immediately shifted to JVC Hospital, Bemina, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmad, aged 45, son of Ali Mohammad Khumani, an inhabitant of Zainakote area of Srinagar.
Police reached the spot soon after the incident and took cognizance of the matter. An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident. [KNT]
