Minister Urges Dailywagers Not to Become ‘Tool’ in Political Hands
Jammu, KNT: Cabinet Minister, Sakina Itoo on Wednesday alleged that the issue of daily wagers’ regularization is being politicized, asserting that Chief Minister has already assured the Legislative Assembly that the matter will be addressed.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Assembly session, the Minister said the government is aware of the concerns of daily wagers and reiterated that the Chief Minister has committed on the floor of the House to take up the issue and resolve it.
She, however, expressed concern that certain political elements are attempting to use the matter for political gain. “The Chief Minister has clearly assured in the House that the issue of daily wagers will be taken up and resolved. Unfortunately, some people are trying to make them a tool in the hands of a political party and politicise the matter,” she said.
The Minister maintained that the government remains committed to finding a structured and lawful solution to the long-pending issue while safeguarding administrative and financial stability.
The remarks come amid ongoing discussions and protests by daily wagers across various departments seeking regularization of services and job security. [KNT]
