Truck Overturns at Lasjan Bypass, One Critically Injured After Fall

Srinagar, KNT: A man sustained grievous injuries after falling from the rooftop of a truck that overturned at the New Bypass in Lasjan area of Srinagar outskirts on Sunday, officials said.

The injured has been identified as Muhammad Iqbal Bokda, son of Gulam Muhammad Bokda, a resident of Mazmoo Qazigund, aged about 50 years.

Officials said the accident occurred when the truck overturned along the bypass, causing the man, who was sitting on top of the vehicle, to fall onto the road and suffer serious injuries.

Police rushed to the spot soon after the incident and shifted the injured to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment. [KNT]
