IMD Forecasts Heatwave Conditions In Several Parts Of Country

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions today in parts of Konkan and Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Saurashtra, Kutch, Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha and West Rajasthan. Parts of West Madhya Pradesh are expected to experience warm night conditions today.

The weather agency also predicted heavy rainfall over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, north-east India Kerala, Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next 2-3 days.

Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected today in places over Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha.
