J&K Govt Promotes Two JMC Engineers
Jammu, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued orders regarding the promotion, confirmation, and regularization of engineers serving in the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
According to Government Order No. 84-HUD of 2026 issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department, sanction has been accorded to the promotion and confirmation of two engineers following recommendations of the UT Level Departmental Promotion Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
The order states that Er. Firdous Ahmad Qazi has been promoted and regularized as Superintending Engineer/Joint Commissioner (Works) from July 12, 2024. He had earlier been serving as Executive Engineer.
Similarly, Er. Jang Bahadur Singh has been confirmed and regularized as Executive Engineer with effect from July 12, 2024.
The government order was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, Mandeep Kaur (IAS).
The order references earlier government notifications and minutes of the Departmental Promotion Committee meeting held on January 19, 2026. [KNT]
