Unidentified Body Recovered Near Airport Station Gate in Jammu’s Satwari

Jammu, KNT: An unidentified body was recovered near the Airport Station Gate in the Satwari area of Jammu, prompting police to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death, officials said.

Officials said locals spotted the body lying near the gate area and informed the police, following which a team rushed to the spot and took possession of the body.

The deceased could not be immediately identified, and police shifted the body to a hospital for medico-legal formalities and identification procedures.

Authorities said inquest proceedings were initiated to ascertain the identity of the deceased as well as the cause of death.

Police officials said nearby areas were being examined and efforts were underway to gather details that could help establish the identity of the person.
