EXONERATING LOCAL PARTICIPATION IS NOTHING SHORT OF GENOCIDE DENIAL

Youth 4 Panun Kashmir strongly condemns and rejects the growing attempts by certain political figures, opinion makers, and even some individuals within the Kashmiri Hindu community to absolve the local Kashmiri Muslim population of its role in the genocide and exodus of Kashmiri Hindus.

Let it be stated unequivocally: any person who seeks to completely exonerate the local Kashmiri Muslim population is engaging in genocide denial.

The genocide of Kashmiri Hindus was not committed by invisible forces. It was not carried out by terrorists operating in isolation. It was not merely the consequence of administrative failure. It was the result of a toxic convergence of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, the collapse and complicity of the State machinery, and widespread societal support, participation, acquiescence, and endorsement from significant sections of the local population.

Who identified Kashmiri Hindu homes, businesses, and community leaders?

Who enforced social boycotts and economic isolation?

Who provided shelter, intelligence, logistics, and legitimacy to terrorist networks?

Who filled the streets, mosques, and public spaces with slogans demanding an Islamist order and the departure of Kashmiri Hindus?

Who celebrated the departure of an entire indigenous community from its homeland?

These are questions that genocide deniers refuse to answer.

Youth 4 Panun Kashmir is deeply disturbed that some individuals, in pursuit of political correctness or personal relevance, are attempting to sanitise history and manufacture a false narrative of collective innocence. Such efforts amount to a second assault on the victims—an assault on memory, truth, and justice.

No community can seek reconciliation by first demanding amnesia from its victims. No society can heal by falsifying its history. No amount of political convenience can erase the lived experiences of hundreds of thousands of Kashmiri Hindus who witnessed betrayal by neighbours, abandonment by the State, and persecution at the hands of Islamist terror.

We therefore call upon every Kashmiri Hindu to remain vigilant against these dangerous revisionist narratives. The genocide of Kashmiri Hindus cannot be reduced to an unfortunate migration, nor can responsibility be conveniently shifted exclusively onto foreign terrorists while ignoring the ecosystem that enabled, sustained, and celebrated their actions.

Truth does not become false because it is inconvenient. History does not disappear because it is uncomfortable.

The genocide of Kashmiri Hindus was real. Its perpetrators, enablers, collaborators, sympathisers, and beneficiaries must not be erased from the historical record.

Youth 4 Panun Kashmir shall continue to resist every attempt to whitewash this genocide and every effort to deny justice to its victims.
